This ancient skill has barely changed in centuries. DWC can transform a hedge from an overgrown boundary back into a stock proof or even burglar proof hedge. The basic principle behind hedgelaying is simple.… The trunk of the hedge (pleach) is cut so that enough wood remains to keep the hedge alive, but is thin enough for the hedge to be laid over and staked. The only thing that changes is the different regional styles. Once a hedge has been laid the only maintenance required will be cutting.

One year on, and the Midland Style hedge is beginning to mature. We are proficient at laying a hedge to the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Midland styles.
